2011 New Years Chronicle!

by on Dec.31, 2011, under Rock'n'roll stuff, Stuff blogs

Thought we could give you an update here at the blog just to show you that we ain’t dead or something like that. Most of you probably follow us at facebook, and then you know that we’re still going strong. But anyhow, we would like to close this year (2011) with our thoughts ’bout what we see as highlights for this year in the Clan.

Bedlam says:
One of the highlights for me this year was definitely having The Rock re-join the band, more ferociously eager to rock out than ever before. I love having his twisted sense of musicality to bounce off on. Stand-out moments were the show at Mejeriet in March (I think most of us agree on that) and the second set we did at the release party of the new album, at the same venue. Those were amazing shows to be a part of. And there were many others..

We finally got our own rehearsal space this past summer and that really enabled us to focus more on writing songs. That was a big one for me.
All in all, a great year…let’s make 2012 even better! Dig it!

Maniac states:
There has been a lot of fantastic moments in Killer Clan of F.U.N. 2011. We almost filled Mejeriet in Lund together with Michael Machine and Crazy Lixx. We kicked dust and roared like a hurricane at Skogsröjet and met a good part of Swedish rockbands there. This has been the worst year in my life on a personal level. At the same time it has been the year for Killer Clan of F.U.N. to release an album that I am very proud of.

Through the twisted times that I now try to survive it has become clear to me what a fantastic creative environment theese guys are and I have heard and been a part of the embryo for the best collection of songs ever come from this part of the world, and with a lot of anger, love, pain and hard work – this will be a great new album next year… From here it can only get better, and even if we are searching for a drummer at the moment I am confident that next year will sparkle, pop and crack like a teenage girl on snowballs. Come whatever may.

The Rock claims:
There have been alot of great times this year with and around the band, awesome gigs, parties, people and rock’n'roll!
But the highlight for me is to be part of the Killer Clan again, recording and learning all the kick ass songs for The World Of Voodoo!

Stuff points out:
Man, it’s really hard to choose a highlight this year. Seems like we’ve done a million things this year. But there’s one gig that’s really fresh in my mind. The very last gig we did this year has a special place in my heart. It felt like we had gained new energy all off us, we felt dangourus and how we all worked as a team on stage got us spurred to go the extra mile on stage! Although it were colder than last known ice age and you could litterally cut ice on my nipples and your fingers couldn’t be more stiff. Remember talkin’ to Bedlam after the gig sayin’ his solos were just like playing the same tone over and over because of the stiffness in his fingers. Although all of this we got a great reaction from the crowd in Landskrona. This city feels like another home for us now!

From us all to you rockers out there; Have a fuckin awesome New Years Eve and an even better 2012!

Are YOU our new drummer?

by on Dec.14, 2011, under News, Rock'n'roll stuff

bangSince our former drummer 3B left us, we took a week off and regained new energy. Now we’re back and we are on the prowl for a new drummer. Do you know anyone that can beat the hell out of the skins or maybe you wanna try out yourself, just let us know by dropping us an email.
As our headquarters are located in Lund, it’s obviously an advantage if you live in the southern parts of Sweden.

At the moment we’re in the midst of planning an upcoming tour to support our release of “The World Of Voodoo”. Gigs are already booked and more are on their way, so we need you now!

I’m full of expectations, who will our new drummer be, are you a dude or a dudette? How will you inprove the sound of the Clan? And how will you help us shape the future of the Clan…

If you love the stage and want to create some rock n roll history you should contact us ASAP!

A short recap in pictures…

by on Mar.29, 2011, under Rock'n'roll stuff, Stuff blogs

Hey everybody! I have finally found my camera so I can show you some pics from the road, I’ll also tell you a little ’bout them but mostly I’ll let the pictures talk for themselfs!

3B+Maniac decorates Lund

When the gig at Mejeriet approached us me, 3B and Maniac got out and decorated Lund with this very beautiful poster that Mr Bedlam had designed. He is a very talented man! We had a ball when we were doing this, I just love to hang with these guys!
3B the idiot

3B the idiot

The day after we had done Lund, we got out to our little studio. In the studio we often get some time to kill, when 3B is bored he just get the most bizarre ideas. He is a plain and simple fuckup if you ask me ;)

Another shot at 3B, this is just right before the gig at Mejeriet, and once again we had some time to kill. I tried to learn him the “move” 2 in the pink and 1 in the…, but 3B got it all wrong and he is more like, 1 in the pink and 2 in the …. To say something ’bout his makeup…. his makeup-artist was goodlooking as hell!

This is our friends in Michael Machine, who played right before us at Mejeriet. They fuckin’ rocked the house down, great guys indeed! Cool view as well!
There have also been some photos posted around the net from the gig. Check back in a couple of days and I’ll collect them and list them all here just for you.

With a vengeance

by on Sep.06, 2010, under Rock'n'roll stuff

Howdy folks!

The Mutt returns with an in dept analysis of what the fuck the Clan is doing. Well, not really. This will more be a torrent of bullshit that needs to leave my not-so-healthy brain. First of all, I think it’s about time the management finally gave back my blog access. They felt I shouldn’t be telling you all about what happens in Maniac’s head so they locked me out for a couple of weeks.

Toy-Train in Queensland

Pictured: Maniac’s brain

So fine. I threw them a bone. This time I won’t. I’m thinking of starting a new career. One of adventure and highway robbery. Obviously, that’s the only way one can get som cash these days. But I know you guys would miss me, so I probably won’t. Besides, someone needs to take care of Maniac, and the other drunkards sure as hell ain’t gonna do it.

dingoIt’s not that hard finding things you’d rather be doing

My next post will be about my plans for our upcoming trip. I don’t want to spoil anything (or give the other guys a heads-up too soon) so for now just listen to the amazing band HELLYEAH and think about what it could be.

If Maniac was a Panther…

by on Aug.20, 2010, under Rock'n'roll stuff, Stuff blogs

Steel Panther @ House of Blues.Since it’s friday night and I’m kinda high on drugs that my doctor prescripted, Im just gonna let my mind fly and play around with some thoughts. If I should place Killer Clans members in other bands, where would the wind up and why?

Lets start off with Maniac, well his name says pretty much how he is as a person. If he had a soloband I think he would put the lyrics to the extreme as well as his stagepersona is today. Therefore I would place him in Steel Panther. Check them out on Spotify and you will see what I mean.

On to The Mutt, he is one of most talented bassplayers I’ve come across. He is the most musician of all Clan-members I think. And he’s also into more heavy kind of music than the others in the band. Slayer could possibly be a good choice to put him in…

Then there’s Bedlam. He has his roots deep in the swamp of blues. He is hard to put his finger on really. But I think I would put him in an early Rolling Stones. He would fit perfect there I think. I would love to be able to play as Bedlam, he has a cool way of playing the guitar.

Last but not least, we have 3B (aka Big Boned Barabas). The young drummer, he is a bit frantic and kinda pushy sometimes. He would fit perfect in Hanson. No just kidding with ya, he is a straight hard fuckin rock n roller. Kinda like a young Tommy Lee. Actually I think that just Mötley Crüe would be the perfect fit for him.

And what goes for me I just leave up you guys…

C ya soon / Stuff

Chips caught Maniac backstage

by on Jul.04, 2010, under Live, Maniacisms and Poetry, Rock'n'roll stuff

The plan was tight. Everything was timed and looked really like it would be a success. Some minutes before Sators gig at Bunkerfestivalen, I sneaked in and tried to steal all the guitars from the backstage artist area so that Sator wouldn’t have anything to play on.

As I, the frontman of Killer Clan of F.U.N., had rehearsed a couple of Sator songs I figured I could go out and take the stage a second time this saturday. After all it was a lovely stage and the gig went great earlier, even though there could have been more people. Now people had gathered to see Sator and this was my big chance.

Along comes Chips Kiesby the frontman of Sator and finds me in this embarrasing situation… see for yourselves.

XYZ sends a message to Maniac

by on May.01, 2010, under Airplay, Bio, Rock'n'roll stuff

A couple of weeks ago Maniac and Stuff took over the radio station Radio AF and promoted Stockholm Rock out for an hour in the show “In Rock“. During the show Maniac interviewed Terry, the singer of XYZ. If you haven’t heard the interview you can listen to it here.

As you can hear there’s a certain challenge in the interview. Maniac actually states that he will get all the girls, and leave nothing for Terry and XYZ!
Well, I’m not surprised. Maniac’s a nice guy, but he just doesn’t like to share.

BUT, and there’s a big but. As it now happens, Killer Clan of F.U.N. won’t be playing today at Stockholm Rock Out. They will play in September instead. But XYZ is here, all of them, and they certainly will play today. And they sent Maniac a message:

That was Joey, Pat and Tony. Later on Terry wanted to say something too:

I don’t know how Maniac will react to all this, I prefer not to think about it. All I can say is that XYZ is a hell of a band and yesterday at the pre-show at Harry B. James they performed one of the best acoustic sets I have ever seen

And many more will come today to Stockholm Rockout and enjoy this band and of course the other great bands too.

The fugitive from London Betlehem Hospital

by on Mar.28, 2010, under Bio, Rock'n'roll stuff

This crazy fuck of a guitarist is probably not who you’d like to meet in a dark alley in November. Bedlam is short for London Betlehem Hospital, and that’s what this mad man is running from. At least in his nightmares. Read some hardfacts from his life and weep. They’re coming to take him away HA HA!

Last man in, is first man out: Stuff

by on Mar.24, 2010, under Bio, Rock'n'roll stuff

This week there will be presentations of the bandmembers in the blog, one new each day until sunday. This is to celebrate that we have a couple of days off for recreation and drinking. No rest for the wicked you may say. In his own words: This is Stuff, the weird country man, the hardcore shit kicker from hell:

Stuff in StockholmStuff was born in the great eighties and was put through some hard times such as being one of the poorest kids on the block. But he got an acoustic guitar from his loving parents, and it was truly love at first sight. A guitar who he still got today and write most of his songs on.

He grew up listening to KISS as his father had a lot of records with them and Stuff sat in front of his father’s record player listening to their records from the seventies, listening and just stared at the covers, and was blown away by their rocking music and their makeup. Determined that one day he would be just as good as them and even a greater rockstar!

With that determination and a lot of hard work he struggled through school and work even though he hated that, and often he would not show up cause he had some blasterin’ riffs goin’ on at home! Now he’s set to claim the world together with the rest of the Clan, but he will NOT let the rest of the Clan taste any of the pretty girls standing in his/their way!
