by on Aug.04, 2011, under Songs and their history, Video

The release day and the release concert on August 27th is coming closer and closer, so we thought it’d be a good idea to introduce the songs one by one. Some music, some chatter from the band, well you get the idea.

There are ten songs on the album and some of you that’s been to our concerts should recognize quite a few of them. Here’s the track listing:

  1. Cocaine On The Brain
  2. The New Stone Age
  3. In Touch With My Demons
  4. Say Hello To My Bullet
  5. Liquor
  6. Stay-In-Bed Day
  7. Get A Tattoo
  8. Voodoo Priestess
  9. Crime Pays
  10. I’m Dead

So, let’s get started with the first one, “Cocaine On the Brain”. That’s also the song you’ll receive if you join our mailing list, here on the right on this page. Well, here it goes:

“I’m Dead” – acoustic

by on May.03, 2011, under Live, Video

As you may have seen, last Friday the guys in the band decided to dress up some songs in an acoustic suite. I was there with my film camera and shot some of it. And here’s the first song from this acoustic session: “I’m Dead”.

The song will be featured on the upcoming album “World of Voodoo” in a month or two, and for some of you, this is the first time you hear it. A somewhat softer song than you’re used to maybe. I’ll be adding more clips from the sessions as soon as they’re ready.

I’d like to thank Mange from Sticky Dirt for helping out with the camera work and Oscar from Michael Machine for nice cymbal flavours and support. /Pär – the manager

Aiming at Dirty Harry

by on Apr.06, 2011, under Live

A lot of great news been coming in this week, about new fantastic gigs in the time to come. I have had a hard time, though, to communicate this to the guys, as they are all focused on the Friday show.

As you already know they are playing at Harrys in Växjö then, and it seems that they have something extra in store for that night. Can’t say what it is, they wouldn’t tell me; for all I know Maniac will be dressed in a ballet dress or they will all perform in scottish kilts with nothing under, but I think it’s something more than that, it’s in the air, in the vibrations around the band.

I know the guys feel it’s an honour to play at Dirty Harry in Växjö, since Harry have such a great repertoire on their scene, simply put a great rock club. And it’s in the middle of Småland, the region where I come from, and I think my influence on the band is beginning to show. Maniac even said the other day that he can tolerate trees now, if they’re not in his way. And Bedlam, well, he IS a tree. ….and BBB a twig…

…anyway, I hope we’ll see you there, it would mean a lot to us.

In Rock!

by on Mar.23, 2011, under Airplay

For those of you who weren’t able to listen to Maniac’s rants yesterday on the radioshow In Rock (Radio AF), we have the entire show here for you.

A lot of Maniac, some Stuff, a little of BBB, talks with Oscar from Michael Machine and Andy from Crazy Lixx about the rock-party at Mejeriet on Friday. And if you pay attention at around 28:39 you will hear an accoustic version of “In Touch With My Demons”, a song that will be included on the upcoming Killer Clan of F.U.N.-album.

It’s all about The Rock

by on Jan.20, 2011, under Bio

Explosions in the skyYes! It’s true!

You’ve probably heard the rumour by now: Killer Clan of F.U.N. have a new bass player!

The guys had been auditioning bass players for a while, ever since The Mutt left us in December. And you may remember the band’s history with auditions from before, and as you understand it’s not an easy thing to run if Maniac handles them alone.

This final audition last week, though, the entire band was present to make sure that Maniac didn’t do anything stupid, forgot about it or hired a trombone player instead of a bass player.

We were waiting in the rehearsal room for the whole thing to start. BBB told us after having briefly opened the door to the hallway outside, that there were 15 people out there waiting to audition.

And finally Maniac yelled: “THE FIRST ONE CAN COME IN!!”

The door opened and in came a guy with sunglasses, carrying a bass guitar case. He walked slowly to the middle of the room, carefully put down his case on the floor, looked at us and said with a deep calm voice:

- “Rock”

- “Rock you too dude”, Maniac said. “And what’s your name”

- “I am Rock”, he answered.

-  “Hell yeah!, we’re all rock, dude, Bedlam is rock, BBB is rock, Stuff is rock and I am so much fucking rock that it pours down on the floor.”, Maniac shouted.

Maniac, not known for his patience, turned to us and carried on shouting and making jokes out of it for a while. When he finally stopped we looked at the bass player again, and there he was, already with the bass in his hands, with the hand on the amp switch. He said slowly:

“My name is The Rock”, and he turned on the switch…

And boy did he blow us away with his playing. After 15 minutes of solo play even Maniac’s jaw had dropped to the floor. Maniac took a few paces towards The Rock and asked him:

“Do you like JD?”

The Rock nodded.

“YOU’RE IN!”, Maniac screamed, looking at us and we were all nodding and giving the thumbs up.

“Well, I have to tell the other players that it’s over for them then”, Bedlam said.

“That won’t be necessary”, The Rock said.

“Sure, it will”, Bedlam said, but when he opened the door to the hallway, no one was there. Everybody was gone.

We have no idea what happened to them, but we’re really excited to have The Rock as a member of Killer Clan of F.U.N. Welcome!

The band in the studio – first sessions

by on Nov.17, 2010, under studio, Video

As you probably have read, the band is in the studio right now, producing a new stunning rock album. The aim is to release it in spring 2011, and one great idea would be to have it ready for you on March 25th, the day of the rock party with Crazy Lixx and Michael Machine at Mejeriet in Lund. Already a fantastic event, so why not make it even better? Can’t promise anything, but we’ll try.

There’s no name for the album yet, but I do know that it will contain 10 beautiful rock tracks, where many of them have been tested in front of a live audience lately. I hope we can present some first cuts in the beginning of 2011 for you.

Anyway, here’s some moving pictures from the first sessions, which took place at Queen Street Studios with the ever so skilled Richard Larsson behind the wheels and knobs. Many thanks also to Lasse Jison Johansson.

A man named Karl…

by on Oct.18, 2010, under Bio, Maniacisms and Poetry

“I’m the one they call Karl” he said to us, stating it in such an obvious way that we started scratching our heads, trying to remember something we felt we should remember.

“And I’m Maniac, arm wrestling champion of the world!”, Maniac said in a desperate attempt to win back the crowd’s attention.

“We’ll see about that”, Karl said.

It was in the middle of the night, we were celebrating a successful gig on Rockbåten, some fans had joined us backstage, and Maniac was on top of the world.

The two contenders eyed eachother cautiously, nodded and sat down. A silent agreement to start an epic arm wrestling battle:

Rock the boat on Rockbåten on Saturday!

by on Sep.14, 2010, under Bio, Live

I thought it would be nice for you to hear a sane voice among the ramblings which have been going on here on this page the last month. And tell you a little about what’s going on the upcoming weekend.

Well it’s Rockbåten in Helsingborg of course. Sticky Dirt, the furious party rockers, Killer Clan of F.U.N. of course and Dirty Penny.

Dirty Penny came here from the US for the Stockholm Rock Out Festival last weekend, and took the opportunity to make a minitour in Sweden while at it. They wanted to feel the rock temperature in Skåne, and of course, Rockbåten is the place for that. Saturday, September 18, 21.00.

Listen more to Dirty Penny on their Myspace page.

Lastly I just wanted to tell you that the guys are really flying right now. After two tremendous gigs last weekend at Stockholm Rock Out Festival and Halmstad Kulturnatt they are full of energy.

Well some of them are maybe flying a little too high, but there’s not much to do about it. Maniac for example is running around shouting to everyone that his hand hurts. Why? Because he had to write so many autographs. And he claims that all the american rockstars asked for more than five signatures each!

BBB on the other hand stated boldly, when he arrived home, that he obviously is the girl magnet of the band. He refuses to wear a t-shirt anymore. He even had proof he said, and showed me a paper, where a long list of numbers were written. 30, maybe 40 of them.

- These are phone numbers to my chick following I got at Stockholm Rock Out. Hehe, I have my own chick army now, he chuckled.

I had a closer look at the list and asked him:

- And, BBB, why is it that every number starts with 555?

I left him with a puzzled look on his face…

What happened at Bunkerfestivalen?

by on Jul.04, 2010, under Bio, Live

Unfortunately I couldn’t be with the band at Bunkerfestivalen yesterday. I’ve heard that the festival went great and that the band made a great gig. But what happened after their gig is still unclear.

Did Maniac set off one of his plans against The Soundtrack of Our Lives or Sator or one of the other bands? I don’t really know right now. All I have is this photo I received this morning in my mail:

Ebbot and Maniac
