Why did it happen so fast?
by Maniac on Mar.31, 2011, under Live, Maniacisms and Poetry
Friday was satisfying for Killer Clan of F.U.N. as a band, for me personally as I was managing the whole event and for the people who came, because this means we now will have a good stage in Lund to put Rock n roll acts on! It’s like in the golden days of Lund back in the 70s and the 80s. When Zappa, Kiss, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Thin Lizzy, David Lee Roth, Ozzy Osbourne and a lot of other cool artists and bands visited the small town and left a mark of young lust, make up, puke and rock n roll!
Outside Mejeriet 1 hour before we opened the gates, there was actually a small crowd!!!
Inside, my dear friend Big Boned Barabas held court in the backstage area getting his make up by Mirre from MTV. He’s a wierd-, but handsomelooking dude and he really knows how to pic them girls!
Thank you all for the support, it was totally fantastic. We have got so much fanmail and nice words from a lot of really cool people… you!
We even got fan art sent to us this week. Thank you Axel!
Come and join us when we record the backing vocals for the upcoming album “The World of Voodoo” on saturday. We meet up at the central station in Lund at 6.45 PM (18.45)!!!
Over and out, fly and shout/ Maniac
PS. Here are two tracks from the concert. The starter “Stay-In-Bed-Day” and the AC/DC-cover “Dirt Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”. DS

The only schooled musician of all members, who acctually knows the names on every scale and all “musical terms” ever made.
The Rock accidently met up with Maniac a few years ago. They met at Smålands Nation who is located in Lund, they got drunk on red wine and found out that they had the same taste in music and that they both were musicians more or less. How the night ended? Well, I have heard that they crawled around on the dancefloor, and from there I let your imagination run wild…
Maniac and The Rock have had a couple of bands together through the years. The Rock were actually Killer Clans first bassplayer, but he disbanded from the band and went off on other musical adventures. And when The Mutt quit the band, The Rock called us immeditley and wanted to have another shot. Stuff and Bedlam were not so fond in the idea at first. Stuff didnt knew much about him, only that he didn’t had long hair. And Stuff fighted in the longest to not have him aboard just because of that. But when the Rock showed up unannounced he quickly changed his mind, the same goes for Bedlam.
And now, the band sounds stronger together, than they ever had. History can begin now!
The Rocks first bought album:
“Acctually I bought 3 albums at the same time, I bought: Metallica: Whiplash, AC/DC: For Those About to Rock and least but not last I also grabbed AC/DC: Flick Of The Switch. My first liveshow-experience was when Mötley Crüe played at Olympen in Lund in ’85”
The silliest phobia:
“Hights and small spaces, and I am a little scared by Maniac”
The most secret wet dream:
“All my wet dreams has run dry, they are all fulfilled, I think…”
My favorite drink:
“Whiskey and coffe, but not goddamn mixing those two togehter”
My favorite food:
“Homecooked”
My best gig so far in life:
“I’d like to think that my next gig will become the best one!”
The best thing about playing in Killer Clan of F.U.N.:
“It’s fun, and all members are so cool. To share stage with Maniac is one part”
The worst thing about playing in Killer Clan of F.U.N.:
“Maniac…”
Who I would most certainly NOT choose to spend the night with on a desolate island:
“Maniac…”
My top ten songs of all time:
Back In Black – AC/DC
Stairway To Heaven – Led Zeppelin
Orion – Metallica
Midnight Train To Memphis – Steeldrivers
Hurt – Johnny Cash
Last Of My Kind – Alice In Chains
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath – Black Sabbath
Child In Time – Deep Purple (Live In Japan Version is way cool)
Brown Sugar – ZZ Top
Breakin’ The Law – Judas Priest
In Rock!

For those of you who weren’t able to listen to Maniac’s rants yesterday on the radioshow In Rock (Radio AF), we have the entire show here for you.
A lot of Maniac, some Stuff, a little of BBB, talks with Oscar from Michael Machine and Andy from Crazy Lixx about the rock-party at Mejeriet on Friday. And if you pay attention at around 28:39 you will hear an accoustic version of “In Touch With My Demons”, a song that will be included on the upcoming Killer Clan of F.U.N.-album.

It’s Wednesday…

- Day 3 of trying to get some new strings on the guitar before the gigs this weekend, which seems to be an impossible task. Turned out yesterday I was all out of them and the only godforsaken music store in the area is located way out of the way.
Well, to hell with it then.
I hate all the mundane guitar chores anyway. Tuning it, changing the strings, carrying the f—ing thing around…

It’s Tuesday…

- Talked briefly with producer Lasse who ok:ed the lead guitar tracks I sent him yesterday. Was the question of getting a good sound to match the rythm guitars, and I guess we got it!
- Still no new strings on the guitar. Forget yesterday that I left it at the studio last time so I’ll have to head down there this afternoon and get it done.
- Rehearsal tonight. I bit pressed for time since Maniac and Stuff will be on InRock at nine o´clock, but we will have time to go over the set for Friday twice.

It’s Monday…

-Just went over some details concerning the gig on friday at Mejeriet with photographer Frida Warnerbring.
-Later today, emailing the first backing vocals and lead guitar tracks to our producer Lasse Jison Johansson.
-Re-stringing the guitar. Or do we have someone on staff with that job description?
-Mental note for tomorrow: Don’t forget to pick up Stuff’s guitar cables at the studio before rehearsal.

Killer Clan goes on Swedish radio!
by Stuff on Mar.20, 2011, under News, Stuff blogs
This coming tuesday me and Maniac will enter a local radiostation here in Lund to talk some serious shit with you and we will also have cool guests and play awesome rock n roll music as we always do. You can hear us at a show called InRock, if you wanna hear us at an good old fashioned radio you can find us at 99,1 mHz. If you’re not near Lund and wanna hear us live you can hear the show on the net, just go to their site which can be found at Radio AF.
Which is the guests we have for you, yee ask? We’ve been inviting Michael Machine and Crazy Lixx to have a chat with. We will talk a bit about the show we’re doing together at Mejeriet which is coming up very soon and we might also have a little treat for you, if me can find the time we might play a snippet from our upcoming record which now actually has a “working-name”. The World Of Voodoo, what do you think of the name, is it working?
This friday we hit Mejeriet. Are you coming? And have you got hold of any tickets to be sure to come in? If you haven’t we will be selling at the door, if there’s any tickets left that is. You can book tickets if you click here!
The camera is still missing, and I will post the images as soon as I can.

Lund has been poster(erd)
by Stuff on Mar.16, 2011, under studio, Stuff blogs
We started a big project last week. To hang up as many posters as possible regarding our upcoming gig at Mejeriet. Me, Maniac and 3B grabbed as many posters and ran into the night to let as many know about the gig. Yes, I brought my camera and took some photos of us. It now happens to be that my camera has been misplaced in Lund so I can’t show you the pics right just now. I’ll show you in my next blog.
In other news we have been in the studio to record some solos and to lay down some backing vocals. We came a long way but we’re not finished yet. I screamed my lungs out, though I had a fuckin cold which didn’t let me go to all the high pitches. And we shall not talk about the blisters I had on my fingers…
Before I end this blog I can lay down a hint about what’s to come. Some members of the band has been exposed in front of the camera with very little clothes on. Who can break Maniacs naked picture? Stay tuned and see for yourself!
Peace Out / Stuff
